Its a copy of the second tank we had designed and made up for the hatch racer. I wanted a little more ground clearance and did not need the 120 litre capacity in targa racing.
The new one ( torque Fabricatiopns - Bellevue ) is 85 litres, has a better in built baffled surge tank and pick up design. doesn't quite look as bulky as the brown davis, but does the job of extra fuel, lower cog, classic look and functional fuel delivery.

Working out how to use a Mac is a piece of cake compared with trying to get used to Ubuntu Studio. Posting on version 13.04 now.

Got myself restricted to barracks over the weekend.
Apparently Ebay is not an acceptable receptacle for disposable income. :(
Did manage to get some hours on the wee beasty however.
Finshed adding brakes and fuel lines to the arse end. Cleaned up a set of A9X stub axles and rebushed some front & rear arms, keyholed same for Bilstein access. Polished 2 sets of hotwires.
Do you think they are a little big for the L34 flares ?

I'm pretty quick to name and shame those that are dodgy or provide dodgy service or parts.
While i appreciate the litigous nature of certain scoundrels to hide behind the law, i feel that part of the benefit that this forum offers is to pass on knowledge and experiences so others may learn from our errors, mistakes or good fortune.
I know this may not be supported by some admin & mods, but they are looking at it from a different viewpoint. Not wrong, just different.
Which bring s me to the point.
Bought a few sets of springs from WA Suspensions a couple of years back for the many projects. This lot got slotted into my young blokes LH as we were giving the old girl a quick makeover.
As mentioned a few pages back, we noticed straight away that the old girl developed a nasty lean.
As it turns out , the springs were faulty. Luckily, there were spares on hand and other than a few wasted days installing, chasing the fault, remove and replace, we got by.
So out they come, promptly sat in the corner of first one shed and then another as we moved house and time moves on as it tends to do.
I dropped WA Suspensions a line this week , after spendung the weekend looking for the enevitable receipt and searching the interwebby banking system for the well hidden date of purchase. Was surprised to see feb 12 pop up, but hey, did i mention time moving on?
so on the website i go, quick email and some pics explaining the situation.
Very happy to see the instant response of " bugger, that's ugly. bring 'em in and get a new set" Or words to that effect.
So i romp in today , 30 seconds later duck back out with a new set in hand.
Well played WA Suspensions.
That's service.

Good story and great to see some still in business know the meaning of customer service. Been bitten too many times where they will soon take your money and when you walk out any guarantee, back-up service walks out with you.

so the replacement hotwires turned up yesterday.
These are far better and acceptable. Good timing too because the K frame is finally fitted with the old stub axles and brakes out of the race car.
Took some pics for everyone, but the last series of pics are just for Datto. The calipers fit these rims with plenty of clearance, much more than the Jongbloeds.
enjoy
