What are some of the worst cars built or imported to Australia??

My opinion is

1. Leyland P76
2. Holden Camira
3. AU Falcon
4. VC Commodore four cylinder
5. Toyota Corana Starfire

Anyone know many other bad aussie cars??

Now you're talking.

The Marina was easily the worst car ever built in Australia & possibly on the short list of the worst ever, including imports.

My list would be.
1. Leyland Marina
2. Triumph Dolomite.
3. Triumph Stag.
4. Renault Fuego.
5. Hillman Hunter.
6. Simca Vedette.
7. Rover 2000.
8. Nissan Cedric.
9. Nissan Bluebird (both versions - 60s & 90s).
10. Anything from Eastern Europe.

Datsun 200B. Rusty as you left the dealer but I think overseas built?

First generation VN Commodores and EA Foulcans. Both horrible cars clearly rushed to showrooms.

I'm old enough to have worked on and driven a few P76s and a mate has one now. They compare well with any HQ to HZ I have owned and are a better drive than the XA to XC Fords. The AU Falcon is an ugly beast but they too ride and handle very well. The 2 litre JE Camira had addressed many of the issues that the first two models suffered from.

Mate of mine had a marina when we were lads, he thought it was the ducks guts (had a CB spotties and ariel WOW) absolute piece of sh1t looked ugly went ugly sounded ugly just effen ugly

i'll thro in the Austin 1800..god awful looking..were they made here?doesnt matter gutless an ugly Brit crap
Leyland Marina..my brother had one..wasnt that bad..no really
Hillman Hunter..terrible
Nissan Bluebird 80's.."the first 4 cyl limousine" they called it what a joke
VN Commodore series 1..a local holden dealer(riverland sa) as the story goes had one of the first vn's ..and the salesmen were told not to let the pertentual customers take it for a test drive..it just sat in the showroom!!! true story..and that timing chain sounds like a charf cutter
an dare i say it the SL Torana 4 cyl and any of the Opal powered ones..sorry guys

haha i just got an opel uc and it spins the wheels easier than my 202 uc
another one i hate with a passion is the 92 nissan patrol my parents have one its unreliable and runs like shit, it drive like a dog and is all over the place i hate driving it

Ugliest - XB and XC Falcons, closely followed by AU.

4cyl Toranas were horrible, but probably not as bad as some.

Definately an ugly bastard, had a mate that had a 265 with triples was a freekin fast ugly bastard that pulled ripper burmouts;-)

By a considerable margin - the FSM niki.
650 cc of unreliable crud which I had the misfortune of being transported in occasionally by a friend. Bought new because that would mean no problems according to her father! Perhaps the retail price of half the next cheapest new car on the market should have been a clue...

i unfortunately work at a ford dealership....if you seen the repair bills to keep them together you would understand.

we have a turbo territory that has had over 12k worth of repairs and its only done 190k. that's one of the worse ones.
on average every 30k there's something worn out in the suspension or sumthing. in the city's they may be better but there terrible around here

the myth is some of the last ones made had 265's in em from the factory..but badged as 245's

The Lexcen that is a Holden that wants to be a Toyota, but is a Holden. And the Ford ute that wants to be a Nissan but is a Ford ute, then we got the Ford Festy that is made by KIA but carrys Ford Badges, im gussing these vehicles are for people with Identity problems, or SPYS lol
