what the hell is with cars reverse parking themselves now..... COME ON!!!!!!!

You just know that in a few years there'll be so many cars with dented quarter panels, doors, etc. when the electrics start playing up.

i want to know that if you show up to a driving test can you use the automatic reverse park?.... i think learners should be made to learn to drive in a car with no electronic gizmos what so ever, no traction control, electronic stability or abs. They do not teach you how to drive a car.... but this is another topic completely so carry on.

some don't josh
just ask the old guys at hbd about the vt monaro that blew it's rods out the side when the electric throttle failed....
on that note i must say the worst car was the vn-s v6 crumpledoor
shit to drive shit to work on looks shitty....everything broke pos car..

Sitting at home waiting for a knee op to heal & bored so I thought I'd buy into this one.

VW Passatt
Any of the XJ series Jags - lovely to look at but you'd never get round the block in one - the electrics would fail at the first corner.
Holden Astra - about as reliable as the Jags
Any Nissan 4WD with the latest 3 litre diesel - do a bit of research on these.
Kia Carnival with the plastic manifolds

And why does everyone pick on the Datsun 120y. My Mum & Dad had one & the thing went forever. They drove it from Adelaide to Melbourne regularly with minimal maintenance. And with my Father's cars I mean MInimal. When I had the use of it on one of their trips away it would take 4 of us & our surfboards all inside the car down the coast for about $3.50 in petrol.

cheers

Paul

I had a VS wagon and that was alright. Cost me lots of money though come to think of it.

I knew a guy who was in the back of his mate's Niki when he hit a curb, rolled the car and wrote it off.

Yeah, too much weight on one corner and over she went!!

Nah, he was doing about 60 and clipped the curb, but it was enough to put it on its head.

Lada Samara - a mate bought one new for about $13k. He wanted the Niva but could afford the extra $2k. Things started going wrong with the Lada immediately. All fixed under waranty for the waranty period of 6 MONTHS. He ended up swapping it for a $1k Toyota Corolla after only 9 months. It was ready for the scrap heap by then - 9 MONTHS OLD.

Mitsubishi Sigma - I had a 1981 model for about three years. Was the most realiable car I've ever owned. Did over 100 000 kms in it after buying it for $200. I did a couple of uni joints in it for the total cost of less then $100. Sold it three years later for $400 (doubled my money) lol.
