What's an expected price to pay for this??? Just got my Tailshaft and K frame back from the blasters and noticed two grooved kinks in it.... Dunno if it's going to have a twist in it now... Rough pricks... Cowboys.

Just looking at the kinks i would say she's rooted mate.
You could try hitting whoever did that on the head with it
but then you would have 2 round dents opposite the kinks.
looks like someone dropped something on it.
Rough them priks,,they owe you a tailshaft,,name and shame.

Well if we are going to start comparing prices from other countries..... I paid $220 for the custom tailshaft in mine from scratch, including balancing. :)

As your's Brad....time to retube it I would reckon. A "good" tailshaft shop should be able to handle it pretty simply.

As previously mentioned take it back the the blaster, you left it there in good nick and now its stuffed, you should have jumped on the buggers straight up before you took it home, now that its been off the premises they just gunna say it was fine when it left here. As far as $ to get it balanced not sure but i had one made to suit the 5 speed in my LJ cost me $400 coz i had a new slip yoke and weld on yoke fitted.

I didn't notice it when I collected it as I was in there way with them fork lifting stuff around, i had to get my car outta there way so was pretty rushed... . So I loaded it up, total price was $65 but I only had $70...the guy said $70 will do then.... He had no change... I went from there straight to work and unloaded it and spotted it then. The primer isn't scratched or marked so they can't say that I did it....

But it's obvious the damage has occurred prior to them priming it.

The shaft needs a retube , I wouldn't recommend it going back in a vehicle , if you send it to driveline they will do a great job ! If you were down this way I could have looked after you !

Just take it back to the shop Brad. Tell them you are a member of a very big car club if they give you any hassles. Hopefully that will convince them that its in their best interests to fix the tail shaft.

Dropped back into my mates at the Sandblasters this morning. Showed them the damage and got some pretty big shrugs of shoulders and a "f*cks me mate". Pretty much sums up what I thought was going to happen.
