Diff was by Gearex - Gear Exchange Services at Smithfield. Hope he doesnt mind me throwing the price up, but it was all new gearing and bearings all nice and tight for $1100. Dropped off at 11am, picked up at 3:30pm so no complaints here!

Gearboxes always scare me, especially the cost this one was to be built nice and tough. But im happy it now means I can start planning my cam :)

Thought Id throw this up on what was done to the box. Means nothing to me, i dont know what it means. Hope it means its built tough though!

Also installed was a 4000rpm High Stall Converter by Slingshot Converters that I provided to the builder.

So hoping to race next week. But any guesses on what it will run?

With OTR and tune and catback it run 13.4@108mph.
Now mods are:
- OTR
- Tune
- Big throttle body
- 1 5/8 pacemaker extractors and cats with 2.5 cat back
- 3.9 diff gears
- Built auto
- 4000 stall
- 918 Valve springs

Any ideas?

I love the high stall... Just everything behind it needs to cooperate.

Cars back, box feels good. Brand new planetary gears and valve body. Also had the rear main seal done while it was accessible. Hopefully it lasts this time.

Iv though of it, but not keen on laying out $10k in engine mods into a $10k car if you get what i mean. At the moment its small bits and pieces. The gearbox being the most expensive cost but thats to handle any cam or heads mods. Eventually id like to get a project car and transfer in this running gear and scrap the shell. But thats a while down the track. I want 11s out of it then just going to leave it.

Went racing tonight. Ended up running a newPB of 12.9@107mph. Finally into the 12s!
Track was absolutely crap though. Everything was wheelspinning and my best 60ft was 2.0 do definate room for inprovement. Hoping to get down to the 1.7 area which should be accomplishable with what i have now, just a good track.
Just gives me something to improve on!

Time to do something with the torailer and bring it back to its former glory. Looking a bit sad at the moment.
