Boot was looking a bit crappy

So applied some KBS and trimmed everything up.

Looks good and may assist with downforce/traction at the track.  :3gears:

Lowered about an inch.

New slotted and drilled rotors all round with pads.

Happy days!

Nice looking car and well documented mods.

How do you find the 3.9's as a compromise gear with the A4 ?

I have an A4 Crewman with 3.07's and am looking to swap to either 3.45 or 3.73, keen to hear what you think.

Thanks

Iv always loved 3.9s. Had them behind the t700 in my torana and they were awesome aswell.

Sits a little higher onthe freeway. Around 2300rpm at 100-110km/h, but my fuel economy hasnt been affected at all when matched with a tune. Got 650kms to a tank on the freeway. And the ease of overtaking takes all the load away which causes bad economy. Id recommend them, but anythings an improvement over the 3.07s.

Had mine installed by Jason - Gearex.

Thanks Mitch.

Have already spoken to Jason, he has given me a great price, just need to get organized to get up there.

Not afraid to turn it but I think the 3.73's will do me fine !

Thanks again for the feedback.

Just clicked over 220,000kms and still cleans up like new.

Hopefully racing next weekend but i dont have tyres. Might just run on the streets so wont be expecting amazing times.

null_zpsccfc6e0e.jpg

At a point where i dont think ill be touching this engine. Price of low km ls1/ 6.0L engines, i might look at a replacement for this tired old one and put this away for a rebuild or use as a mock up for a project.

I just want mid 12s out of the combo and ill be happy. Only thing touched on the engine are valve springs which was a common sense mod.

If you can for sure hold out for a 6 litre much nicer engine as a daily worth the extra dollars & more commonly available they become the better value for money.

Nah mate struggling haha. But apparently holidaying with everyone is more important than car parts for me... I dont get it lol.

Im racing on sunday so come down. Dont know how many are or if we have a lane. Only reason i wont be there is if its 30 degrees, in which case ill be at the beach lol

Robs trying to get in contact with john henman to sort it out.

Btw, the cruise is cheap. 16 nights for $1500pp, $800 for Lexi. Less than a hundred a night for accomodation, food and multiple stops aint bad lol. Aaaannddd dont have to put up with a 3yr old on a plane for 14 hours lmao.

Went racing today. Warm day but managed a 12.8@106mph on street tyres. Hooked up real well and got some 1.8 60fters.

Yeah Garth, iv run a 1.834 60ft on street tyres. Hopefully now ill be able to use the stall a lot more and bring the 60ft down further. Im secretely hoping for a 1.6 but a 1.7 would be nice as well ool
