Havent had a problem with mine touch wood except that a few of the plastic clips broke off and most of the rubbers needed pretty much glueing on to the car. But they're mostly good as far as fit and allowing the doors to close goes.

looks tops mate. luv the humpys. i know most old cars arnt built to exact in the day and add any repairs along the way make it an interesting recipe. i too like the glass hard lid look but like you said to get it straight is the challange. like said before you could glass over timber then a combination of sanding glass, body filler and a long straight bar would get it very close. otherwise get a big sheet a that 19mm melamine or that black timber sheeting they use for pooring concrete on, if i remember its name ill post it. add a curled edge then gel coat it and lay your glass into it. good few layers to create strength with out warp or distort. lay frame in ontop of glass then glass wrap the frame. this would create the most straight workable effect.

Thanks for the comments guys, Stinga - Advance Headers (great fit with the triples and good price too) , 2.5" pipe and a single offset muffler to a dump pipe.

Nice work on the panel and paint. I like what you've done with the taillights too - something different. It looks mint!

Thanks guys very happy with the result. The lights still need the trim made up for them, the plan is to go polished alloy milled to the shape of the rear edge with a couple of windows into the lights, with studs so it can be bolted from behind. Aiming to draw it up over the weekend and going to try to get it done before Christmas .... wish me luck!

Cheers

Doug
