Dads running cruiser rims on his patrol.......

I have hilux rims on my cruiser :D

Mate has cruiser rims on his hilux....

Its the other way around that doesnt work to well, depending on the rim, as you said.

But thats offset, not stud pattern, this being a custom application it would be irrelevant?

Well they need to stay under the guards and not foul on the steering, so it probably has some relavence.

Exactly, but he now has a selection of commonly available offsets available, how many of us can say that? I had to get my rims custom made to get them to sit in the right spot on the LJ, rarely do you see rims off the shelf for Toranas that actually fit properly, atleast the OP has three or four commonly available offfsets to try out :D

Also Jeep Cherokee are 6 stud, same as Hilux, Landcruiser etc. Jeep J10 too. And Chev K10, Blazer etc plus some Fords. Anything with Dana axles. My Overlander was the same stud pattern too. Just watch the load ratings if you are making a car carrier, the 2 tonners like J20, K20 etc ran bigger studs and an 8 stud from memory.

so I get to work on it but couldn't take chance of getting wet

thought these wheels might work, factory Pajero rims from early 90s
lots around and solid
this tyre is 235 so a bit wide, just past the guard at front, wouldn't be a problem at the back
so may use 205 light truck
could also fit flares, common on vans

used these with angle grinder, work really well but needed wire brush to get into the coners and grooves

yeah I like the wheel should polish up nice as it't chromed and 16 to suit brakes
also have 16s on the work cars so should get tyres at right price

no moved to Mt Barker and bought another business last Christmas, LPG and mechanical work
originally to service my vehicles but outside work is building nicely, have 2 mechanics that work casual
the RAA and some other workshops send us work, usually stuff they can't fix. if it's got LPG we get it even if it's a blocked fuel filter
we know the guys in the RAA vans and one of the tow truck drivers in my business partner's son
works well
unfortunately we have a high reputation for repairing fords, we are ford experts

If it wasnt for fords, most mechanics would have to close their doors.
