I have always wanted to put two red sixes together too create a Red  V12,

it would be called a XU4 as a XU1 is a 6 cylinder and a XU2 is an 8 and a XU3 would be a 10 so a XU4 would be a 12 Cylinder.

This would fit in the LC / LJ Torana and would be a lot of fun.

Tilting the red six so the cam is at the centre of the ''V'' the other half can use the cam.

There would be the case of recreating the Block, but all parts would be the same after that.

I have seen the almost use of the Holden prototype V12 using two V6's, but to no avail in the Prototype Car.

Any thoughts anybody on the Holden V12 ideas. Dave I

It would only make it twice as slow.

A v8 is 1.5 times or thereabouts slower than a straight six.

Hi Chloe,

Great Information there, where I did not know that, but in saying that, cubic inch has a play, also short stroke and big piston diamenter does as well. Dave I

Correct, XU2 is a V8 (SLR5000), but XU3 is firstly a neutral headlining (up to HQ) and later (HJ on) either a 6 or V8 (14.5cwt Sandman). XU4 is a 6 or a V8 too - XU4 is a 10cwt HJ-HZ ute or van. XU6 is a V6 HSV abortion.

Would you have all the exhaust and inlet ports in the V or everything on the outside?

Hi Peter UC,

I think the Exhaust and Inlet manifold would be on the outside as the Cam is in the center of the 'V' and the Distributor, Spark Plugs and Oil Pump needs to be in the Centre from the Camshaft.

All a bit wrong but could be done. Dave I

Hi Vick,

Yes turn One Head around. Dave I

Damn Gunmetal LH, you kind of beat me to it. I was going to suggest putting them end to end for a Straight 12.

Engine bay... ? You didn't say it was going in a street car now did you... ?

You'd never get the V one regoed anyway.

If you want capacity stick a big turbo on a 202 with 28 PSI boost.

9.9 litres is more than enough for any man.

Oh my frOcking god. ONly thing better than twin Holden sixes is twin chev sixes.....

Bet the owner of that thing has to show up to the strip a week before the race meet to collect his car from the return ramp, would go that frOcking quick the world would spin backwards and time would reverse.

Cheers.
