Firsty those crusty looking rims i did the last fun day in.
Would you believe these were the mags i was orginaly contemplated getting for the Torana instead of the Sprintmasters. I settled on the Sprintmasters in the end, and i think the Sprintmasters look better than these anyways.
I think they look 100% better with the Gloss black paint.
About all i think i am going to do before Winton is maybe get my hands on some seconda hand racing tyres. But we will see.

Stedz, get your priorities right, a boat doesn't corner like a Torana!

Dialed it in tonight and all good. Only cost me a timing cover gasket. Remarked the cam gear. So, we have retained the Hi comp pistons and the EFI cam Getting a bit crook on shonky parts though
Sump on tonight (Thurs), decide on and fit a carby to the manifold, clean up and weld bolt on flanges to the extractors and maybe ready to fit by the end of the weekend bearing in mind the Bathurst telecast

Rangie engine almost ready to put in. I'm having a week off at the mo to get moving on it because of the draw backs I've had with it. Last weekend the bloody tiles fell off the shower recess lost a day and a half.
Still have to rewire the engine bay before it goes in and make up a new exhaust
after its in. Then theres the radiator, dissy, starter to look at...........
The time frame is running end of next week. Then off to Mathoura to pick up the Commodore. That will give me 6 weeks to get it ready.
Maybe what the Commy might have in it late next year?
Note different inlet manifold (thor efi hi-rise)and twin ww2 strommys.
All is heresay as nothing is running at the moment.
But my lawn mower looks impressive!

My son and I lifted it off the bench and on to this trolley (which just happens to double as my mig trolley)(not a special build) with virtualy no effort. Consider lifting a V8 crank, 8 conrods, 16 pushrods, valves and rocker gear, add a cam and not too many kilos for the block and heads. Superman not required. The reason it needed the trolley is cos I built the motor in my shed but the Rangie is next door in Dad's shed. I wanted to move it before it got too heavy, flywheel clutch etc.

MR2 Toyota. Nearly HRT colours? This means Mathoura via Wadonga for pick-up. At least the Rangie will know where Winton is

I'm at least gonna get a REAL wheel alignment from the place my dad took his 4wd to a few weeks back. They did an awesome job with it. Better than the 'wheel alignments' i been getting from a certain big name tyre chain.
The car might actually corner as well as it should with the suspension i am running.
