hi dude if the car is all matching numbers and a one owner the bloke should still have all books and receipts,,, witch will make it a good starting point,,, as to the damage of the car you say good skirts and front rails??? thats another good start as you can build the rest of the car around these panels,, if it was me i would low blow him with a offer of 10k but i would be ready to hand over 30k,,, by the time you spend another 35k getting it all sorted, it would still be a good new al matching numbers car with books that owes you 65k top end

good luck and check before the cheque

cheers gong

Thanks Lona for the advice on the XU1. Regarding my old LC. It was a 71 though.

@whaleoilbeefhooked
I have not much for engine bay shots but I know what was done. Pm me if you want info. Trans tunnel had minor mods done with a hammer. Mine had a Borg Warner 4 speed manual.

Thanks Lona for the advice on the XU1. 2 easy,,,BUT,,,

Regardingarrow-10x10.png my old LC. It was a 71 though. mabe you should get someone to look at this xu1 for you,, because that old car of yours was a pre 71 shell, there is no way it was a 71.

I will say that my old LC did have a big front hit, and ALOT of stuff was swapped from another car, including the drivers side gaurd,rail, skirt. All done in 1 piece. Amongst a lot of other things.

That car was by no means original car

Hahaha. I can't remember what the right hand gaurd skirt rail came from. Bought a car, cut it off it and put it on mine.
Then got rid of the car the skirt came from. This was some time ago. But the LC was no original car, it had bits modified all over the place.

Haha. So. It was a 71.
Cheers. It shows you cannot purely say there is no way this body was not a 71 just because of the skirt.

You guys are a little touchy. Like I've said. I'm not wanting to step on any bodies toes.
But, seems that just because you saw that off side gaurd/skirt, I'm told it couldn't of been a 71. I remember the plates on it. Not that it matters, there is no reason to try 'fake' that car for anything it wasn't, it had bits chopped out of it all over the place.
