In life I have mates who constantly give me banter about my Torana being a replica GTR.... I just simply brush it off and tell them "my car is worth more than yours".... and that is all I need to say to them. Some have posh commies and one bloke has a Genuine GTR Skyline and my Torana is still worth more than his.

It's how you listen, and deal with the problem....

I'm not old enough to know what it was like before the 80's (as I was born in the late 80's). but I had a conversation with an older bloke about the culture Australia had when playing Sports such as Amateur Football. Players used to fight each other in the game but once the siren blew, they both were at the bar having beers and laughing about it but now the culture is different, We have to watch what we say, or what we do, If we do something wrong, then punches would be thrown. It's not one on one anymore, it's 'bring all your cousins/friends because we're going to fight'.... but a lot of people put themselves in that position and some that don't

People get pissed off so easily.....

I had a Politics thread locked and it had a question I had asked. It was about the Car enthusiast politician who got voted in.... A mod locked it because he said 'This is a Car-related forum not a politics forum'...Couldn't the mod just move it to the Off Topics Forum? My first thought was...it was a car-related thread as he is a car enthusiast just like every single one of us.......

I've been on this forum since 2006 and there are many Users I have never seen before including some Mods but you know what...I don't care as long as this Forum is still Active and I can get my Torana info. Mods are doing a great job if the site is still running, especially if they are not getting paid for it.

I have been a Moderator on a Sports-related Forum and I stepped down being a Mod because I got a job and I didn't have time for it. I still barely have time for forums these days, so I say Thank you to all the Mods and Admin etc.... for doing a great job.

I think most of the people on this forum are hear to lean, help when they can and have a bit of a laugh.

There are lots of misunderstanding too.

Sometimes you get the wrong advice, or not the text book way of doing things.

There's no need to slam that bloke, just put forward you way or idea.

There more than one way to skin a cat.

My problem are more important to me as yours are to you.

This forum would not be hear if the culture you speak of didn't still exists today.

Victor

A song again .....  lol, I know what your think'n...........  but read the lyrics.   Freedom is what we fight for, speech is how we communicate ..  both go hand in hand ..  don't damn someone or hail them on their opinions ...  just try to understand,  there views maybe different from yours, and that may anger you, or make you laugh or make you sad, or scratch your head.....

So enjoy,  and Don't Damn Me ....   :spoton:

I think the conspiracy and political threads should be bought back:).

Surely they can be cleaned up and re-instated.  It wouldn't take a moderator long to do this.

lol. I don't have mod privileges to do that and I wasn't talking every thread, I was just doing a search for that thread and found it had been removed, then there were some comments here from some they'd like to see it brought back.

Now that the hoo-ha has died down, it wouldn't be a hard task to quietly bring it back 'under the radar'.

I think the conspiracy & political threads could be brought back, such things will be reflected in other posts anyway, there is heaps of other

"off topic" stuff that we read and either don't comment on for whatever reasons...some find it different...some don't...i just can't imagine going

to a party or gathering and not having a diverse conversation about differing subjects...in fact it gets froking boring talking the same shit all the time.

So yeah, if you don't like what you read in differing topics either comment in some way that makes a bit of fun of things or take it a bit more seriously.

my 2 cents worth.

Same reason i just scan past the NRL thread now days.

I despise NRL, but chose to let other people be, and with it all in one neat place it was easy to flick past, just like the conspiracy theories and politics USED TO BE confined in two nice easy to scan past threads.

But no, A certain someone who likes the NRL thread didnt like that and had to bitch, among other hypocrites.

Cheers.
