Yep most people wont come close in a lifetime to what I spray in the average week, And the guns treat me well for a few weeks before they start playing up so you shoudl be fine.

40lt in a day is nothing out of the ordinary around here hehe.

You could paint around 6 or 7 Toranas in a day, that would be like the Holden factory. cool. LOL.

he assured me this gun would do a great job as he has sold them and used them himself with no complaints.

Yep, as long as the gun does a good job for the time-frame you want. Similar to cheapo drills, etc. from Bunnings; I see them tossed out every clean up day, some in perfect working order. People in apartments do a quick reno so buy cheap tools that'll do the job, then throw them away to make room for storage. I guess no point keeping the tools if you're not going to use them again.

I can imagine it would be hard work, but rewarding at the end of the day with a cold Beveridge

It was good weather today on the Gold Coast for painting, this morning was hot and hardly any wind. So i wet down the garage floor and got set up for some painting, using a 2 pak paint and gun that i have never used before except practice panels was a bit stressful, but the end result i am happy with. It will not be any show car but what i am looking for its all good. By the time i finish all the inside areas hopefully i am all trained up for the outside of the car.

I am caught in between a rock and a hard place, i don't want a single stage paint job, but i cant afford to pay somebody to do it for me in a spray booth, so i am going to have to run with NWA and frOck the police

Cleaned up the K frame and gave it a hit of sub frame satin black, if i thought i was sick of sanding hi fill primer, i think i am going to get the shits pretty quick with scraping 40 years of grease, dirt and crud off suspension components. Years ago on builds i would of thrown it all back together without a clean or paint just to get it back on the road, i love and appreciate show cars that are as nice underneath as on the top, i wish i had the patience for that, but i will have to do the best i can.

Piss funny that you spray that shit out the front.

Neighbours must be thrilled.

I remember seeing on a forum years back a bloke was building a motor in his lounge room.

I built a 327 in the kitchen of this place I was renting 20 years ago.

Geeze it was a prick getting it out the front door, across the porch and down the stairs....lol

Two blokes and a skateboard... moved many an engine that way!

I've had an entire Torana (well, except for the body shell) in a bedroom, does that count?

That's why i have the dog with me all the time out the front, no one is game to come over and complain. He is good for the door knockers as well  they seem to just keep walking, LOL

Then time for a bit of paint, i had already put the new bushes and lower ball joints in so i had to tape them up. I wasn't going to paint any of the suspension, but putting in so much time on the engine bay i thought i better keep going.

I notice your lower control arm; where the anti-sway bar pin goes through; the hole is a little bit keyhole shaped where the pin has wore through it.

Are you going to fix that ... and how?

I have a set that are like that as well; one day I'll finally get around to doing the same as yourself.
