Nice sandgroper!
There are more XA-XC coupes here than ever before. I would have one in a heartbeat.

Well that will be the end of that then!

Doubt it. Mike Bergmans death didn't stop Bathurst, it just gave us the Caltex chase.
I am sure something similar will transpire here.

You know Grant, every year I feel a bit indifferent about making the trip. Then as soon as you park you can hear it!
It's amazing every year.

In that case, I guess that's why I have not received a response to my email I sent on Wednesday trying to find out where my replacement drill is....?

Farmtruck and AZN is who they are. I heard they were going to be there. Would've been awesome if the other guys could've made it. Be interesting to see if the summernats gets a mention in the next season.

Any filming going on around them Doug?

I agree, in 10 years time they'll be in the 'what were they thinking' folder along with box flares and Trans Am front aprons.

This guy used every new old stock part he could find on his ultra rare prototype blown XU-1.

As the air fills with more unburnt methanol and VP I am off to an afternoon of burnouts!
It's not too hot compared to recent years so maybe less radiator failures and cars catching fire but you never know your luck!

I wish I could meaningfully describe what the burnouts are like. So much of it is sensory overload that words will never be enough to convey to you what it's like being within feet of a blown big block with open pipes while it is held near flat open. Tears galore from the methanol and tyre smoke...... mostly!
