In qld we have to get a blue mod plate which they engrave numbers on for different mods like engine swaps or nine inch diffs etc

Looks sweet certainly better then running around with a oversize lawnmower under the bonnet :D :D

LAtest updates : Ran at calder a few weeks ago 11.3 122mph/ 11.8 125 mph

Few things that still ARENT working the new auto/convertor works fine but now withthe transbrake it just wont hook up at all. And valve springs are getting a bit weak , just didnt seem to rev as quick as last time .

Went to the Supercruz held at Calder on the 26th jan... woot a good time was that ..200+ quality cars cruzing, burnouts, powerskids all weekend without pipes, car held up good even thou it was 30+temp, besides getting 2 warnings for too fast and stuff LOL .

whats next plans mmm, was thinking of entering easternats but think im going to give that a miss. The 2 front tyres are wearing on the inner side of the tyre so will putting the old girl on the car stands and redoing the front end pics will be soon.

Oh yeah and the most important after much debating with my mechanic , were going to start playing around putting 2 snails on the little mouse :) but that is a long term project since i cant hide that much from the missus in $$$

And the story contiunes.

Anyway a few weeks ago took the little missus for a drive to the city for a coffee .Well between the part where on the way back a challenge was thrown at the lights things went a little err wrong.

The wheel decided to part and shear off all 5 wheels studs.. mind you these are 1/2 competition wheels studs and 35 spline axles.

The wheel was found 300 metres down the road and brake drum 50 metres.. how it didnt hit anything else is beyond me .

Anyway all is good no one was harmed was the main thing besides my ego LOLOL.

The root problem was running spacers because the rims were touching the springs.. my fault lesson learnt

So pushed into the garage and work has begun.

While it was in the garage i decided to fix the little bubbles.. well first i decided to push them in which opened a can of worms

ANd the rear was damaged from the wheel coming out it bend the edges so it needed fixing besides little rust there as well.

So after looking at the damage the 4inch angle grinder came out.

After cutting out i found some more in the sub frame which needed to be cut out to the point of finding good metal, I guess if i gone this far to do it properly.
Posted Image
THe pieces cut out and will be used for templates for the new metal:)

While im here i decided im ditching the drum brake and going for eb ford rear capliers , got the housing and some trail fitting

Posted Image
Posted Image

Since it is big bearing 9inch eg 35spline the housing for calipers will have to be redrilled and machined but ill get to that later.

Next part is mig welding some new meatl in soon .
