Shevster: Yes there are petrol stations near there, where you can buy good fuel, you might even be able to get some AVGAS at the track but I'm not sure. You Torry won't break down. IT's A HOLDEN! heh heh, Besides, we're all cruising up together and there will be plenty of support. TORANASS for example is bringing tools and towing gear in case anyone breaks down. I beleive CHOPPER is bringing support also with his van. You won't be on your own. Just come, you won't be alone. And I'm near BoxHill aswell, so if you have any trouble, let me know.

73bathurst: do a quick engine bay degrease and under the car and transmission and spray it at carlovers or at a petrol station with a high pressure wash, that will do the trick. Before they inspect your car wipe any drips with a rag, you'll be fine.

I've busted my knuckles and spent all my savings just to get a Torana ready for THIS event.

On page 4 of this thread we had a list of 30 people who said they were attending. Are they still attending?
Tiny: Maybe you should PM them just in case they don't realise there is a thread here asking the final question.

What happened to all the fast Torry's that were gonna come? are they coming?
If people chicken out from this we're gonna look like clowns.
I'll have to listen to it for ever. "ahahahahah the big national torana drag, where you all got your asses whipped by a 13sec mild VL turbo"

*TORANA AMORE logs off and rings around to buy a NOS kit*

Yeah there are a few places to Stay at Heathcote, plus Bendigo is a stones through from there as well, so acom shouldnt be hard, a few of us are staying at a motel up there together and meeting up for a BBQ etc after the events 4 the day... I think makka (who lives in bendigo) even offered some grass space at his joint to pitch a tent if u need somewhere to stay!

Thanks mate, definitely makes things look 10times easier for me to go.

I still can't confirm anything 100% at this stage, but its looking better.
Will have a chat to my old man tonite, never know, I might be able to pull him into taking his VT GTS up there for the day.

Cheers
Dave

LXCHEV is now a slight chance once again. Fixed my fuel leak last night. My dyno guy has pencilled my in for Friday morning for a very basic tune. IF I can get 500k's clocked up today/tomorrow AND don't hit any other problems AND the tune goes well AND if I can manage to sort out a few other things, I may just make it. Full-time jobs SUCK!

Like some of the others have said, I have been busting my ass off just to make this day. Credit card has copped a flogging, I'm stuffed and need sleep!! hahaha. Good luck to everyone else getting your cars ready.... and to anyone out there thinking about it, COME ALONG!!!!!!

Brett (LXCHEV) Now if u need someone to clock some K's up on the Blue Beast i would be more than happy to put my hand up! Good to hear that u fixed ur prob!! Hopefully dyno etc and all goes well and u can take the blue beasty up!

Its getting hard enough tho to get my car ready! I am being dumped with assignments left right and centre from uni, then i work 4 nights a week and got a girlfriend i spend most of hte other time with!

Can someone reinvent the clock so we have say 30hrs in a day?

Also it looks like tim is coming over Thurs Night to fit my Carby and Tune it for me! Makka is also coming over with a back up carby just in case thurs night as well! Once its all on and going im going to reward myself with a few Beers down At The Crappy POOL ROOM HAHA Me and Makka are going there thurs night brett, u and deb should come down! If ur bored thurs night brett come round and be at the party 4 when i get my carby! I think ill set up the camera and take some happy snaps! It takes 9 months to make a baby! 18months to build a Carby!

PS. Awesome MRSLR, will be good to meet you on Sat! Can't wait to see the beast!

Matty - I will let you know if I have time to swing around on Thursday night, but I'll probably be strapped into the beast driving all over the countryside! Good luck with your car - is everything all set and ready to go once the carby arrives?

Hey Guys:

Here's a few pics straight from the Heathcote Raceway website

From 5th Feb Test n Tune

http://www.heathcote...ne/102_8135.jpg

Hmmm........ That car looks familiar somehow  I've got one just like it,.... but different colour.

From 19th Feb Test n Tune

From 5th March Test n Tune

And yes, they add pictures of your cars to their website so you get added to the hall of fame. (They don't add your times/ET's to the website).

Are we still doing the meeting thing? I am keen for it.

These were the orignal plans,

Meet at Kmart (cnr. Mahoney's Rd and Sydney Rd, (Hume Hwy)) at 7:00am for a 8:00am departure

So is anybody else up for it other than SPJ, Shevster and me?

Makka - good luck mate. Are your 2 mates you spoke of definites? If so, feel free to add them to the list. We are storming towards that magic 30 entrants now!

Off the top of my head - we still need to confirm with coupe202, LX406, LUSHUS LH.

I may also have another 2 racers lined up.

Steve - I won't be meeting up, as I am going to drive out via Yarra Glen etc. Still haven't had a chance to look at a Melways though to see if we'll cross paths...

Rene told me recently that she would take the VN if the LH couldn't make it which sounds good.

Brett... Yarra Glen? we're gonna be heading out through Lilydale etc, but you'll be doubling our speed (yeah even in SHUBES heh heh).

Steve. If Russel gets things going all well, he will probably meet you guys too. I doubt I'll be there, but if/when he gets things sorted he will ask me for the meeting place.

Good 2 see the numbers are increasing! I will be heading up throu yarra glen as well! Is a nicer drive up throu the hills from belgrave!

Brett how long will it take to get to heathcote roughly?

I think i MAY even fill up the 120litre droptank for the first time! Woohoo! (Goodbye Bank Balance tho!) Might have to make use of a 4cents off a litre! SAVE $4.80!

Yeah i do believe there are more people that havent confirmed themselves yet on here.... Keep Bugging people guys!
