Hi Fellas,

This may seem obvious to some of you, but what is involved in deleting the heater and can you pass roadworthy after undertaking this delete?

Cheers.

I would have thought the de mister function would be needed to pass.I’ve seen some early LCs without the heater box and just a blank but they might have had a small radiator in them with just a vent.Easy to delete the heater ,just blank it off at the fire wall and don’t drill the water pump outlet, and block off the lower thermostat housing outlet.

If the car in question never had a heater from factory then you would be okay. However if you have made certain upgrades a heater demister may be mandatory. For example in FC holdens it was an option but as soon as you Increase horsepower by a certain percentage you have to have the heater demister to be compliant.

I have heard of some people mounting 12 volt camping hairdryers under the dash hooked up to vents to pass roadworthy checks.
