Umm Rory thats not a pickup point its the spare wheel hump

heheheh

^^ MRNOS, roughly what size is the fuel cell? and what was the filling point? i thought they woulda used some kinda custom increased volume standard fuel tank (two welded into one or something) to keep the weight down low.

Cant wait to see this project progress!

Not sure on size of the fuel tank have heard around 80-100 litres, bigger than what we need for sprint type work, filling point is with the boot up! going by the footage on the Torana DVD's, during the 74-76 bathurst they had the boots up while being refilled

I reckon 1 of you should go a stroker, the other should go a high revving stock stroke 308/304.........

I thought about a standard stroke engine, but I dont want to be turning it to hard, start breaking things and costing lots in running it....but you never know, but for now it'll be a 355, either VN heads or maybe a set of early dash3 alloys

Me and Rory having been talking about the toploader idea, after mucking around with Darrens- Used2have1's- gold 355 hatch with toploader I decided that was the way to go, and the very next day my towing mate rang me and said he had picked up a scrap car and was told to take- that old toploader over there- for scrap, busted 3 gear, shifter, and dellow bellhousing suit 308, he rang me asked if I wanted it so I grabbed it $100, so for that price i'm pretty happy  but Rorys hates me for it :tease: I'll get the box rebuilt, turns out its a wide ratio fairlane box- I dont think a close ratio is going to be that much better, i'll put a hurst shifter on it-same a used2have1's hatch. Should be a very interesting car :D

Ohh and as for diffs, looks like Rorys going the modified skyline diff, ive got a 4pin VN diff, LSD 308 gears, i'll be changing it to 3.45 ratio and full spool

Throttle body, injectors, fuel rails and wiring harness..$350

I have decided to do the car in parts...this will work out great...Diff as a unit..then get a LH front end and fit the 4 spot Brembo calipers , discs etc..all out of the car..then just slot them both in. Will be a lot easier than the LC trying to work with whats in there..then I can just sell off the extra bits that come out.
