With a TLC ( Truck Load of Cash ), you can modify any car to do anything.

I rest my case.

sammy.ss: You are wrong and you know it.

A STOCK STANDARD Soarer has about 140rwkW. That's 187hp for those that are stuck in the old ages.

Do a bit of tickling and you have 200rwkW easy. This is out of a 2.5L Six!

How many 161's are there that pump out 200kW?

No, no, bguckin NO!

I don't like Ricers. I hate the things! But no car comes off the factory floor a Ricer.

Sorry Sammy, but you are indeed wrong. If you looked outside the 4" bore of a V8 and had a look around, not all Jap cars are just plastic.

Yes Dave, plenty of cats and lots of ways to skin them. And not enough time to list them all.

someones gettin edgy.
then y u soo defensive?
ok so not all jap cars are plastic wen they first come out. but do u see a young adult driving a standard jap vehicle? they all do something to their car to make it look better.
the things they put on their cars just looks rediculous.
i cant stand the piss weak storm water drain sized exhaust with there funny note coming out of it. sorry but i will only go for the good old classic muscle car

Sammy, I remember going into a truck spare parts place for a delivery. I pointed to the chrome exhaust systems they had for the Mack trucks and said,

"That's almost as big as the ones the ricers put on the back of their shitboxes."

The guy behind the counter fell to the floor laughing.

i too am a young adult, n ive been making my torana up to a pretty nice look, but the difference between us torana people is that we we do up our cars to look how they did, n as genuine possible with few extras. but the ricer owners just chuck anything they find on theirs no matter wat type it is n just making their car look like it should be at a runway

I'm not makin' my LJ look like how it did when it was new... It'll be modified in every aspect, It'll still be a Genuine Torana, but It'll be built to suit my wants.

rim you simply cannot compare a new car to an elder car

pretty muich back then all motors were basic and only made to get around

you comparing a 161 to a recently new v6 motor with what twin turbos and many other specail mods to them (dont know much about the v6 sourers) efi and shit

compared to a small 161 which might have a camshaft and a 2 barell carby not too mention of how much older the engine is therefore being alot more used /worn out

my 202 was keeping up with a v6 magna the other week which i personally think is embarrasing but when you think about it , it wouldnt suprise me with the way my 202 goes they have left out a whole piston conrod in the engine including valves etc for one cylinder :P

but seriously you just cant compare these engines as they are in different ball parks

what about probably the most successfull and one of the best engines to be built which is still getting made today the small block chev with over 50 million examples in the world its hard to beat

lol yes you were, go back one page. Would have been a very good comparison if one didn't have two turbos bolted onto it.

Sammy, mate just sit back, have a beer, and enjoy the fact that at least they're appreciating their vehicles, and apparantly giving you an oppurtuniy to kick some arse in street racing if that's how you want.

I have no idea where you get the idea that a 'muscle' car is always faster than a 'rice' car. I won't have anything on 90% of the rice out there and my motor will be far from factory, but fukk oath that just makes me wanna build something quicker later on.

There is nothing wrong with rice if used in moderation.
