October 7 will mark twenty long years since this project started. It has been nearly 18 years since somebody came out of a side street and hit me. This eventually forced me to stop work in November 2006 and I didn't return to full time work until June 2017. But at least I now have another rolling shell to play with. Here is the previous owners build thread:

And here is the Price Check thread, so you can see how it was when I bought it:

So I have now owned this for just over 10 years. Due to injuries and lack of cash ( due to a lack of a job), all I have really done is to cut some rust out. And that's basically to get a better look at what I have to work with. Now that I am working and can actually afford to complete this, I should start to make some progress this year. The main problem is that I only have a single carport to work with. Realistically, the next job is to locate a second hand chassis and adapt it to fit.
God help me!

Thanks Steve.
At least getting a chassis home will be a lot easier now, as I'm getting another brand new work van. It's got an extra 1.3 metres internal length, so I might be able to slip one in the back. Of the van that is, not my arse. It will also have 3.2 tonne towing. The only sour note is I won't be able to get it until around September. But it's a step forward in the project and my business.

So due to shipping delays, it could be the end of the year before I take delivery of the new van. I stated it had 3.2 tonne towing, well it actually will have 3.5 tonne. And also it needs a truck licence to drive it. Which I've had for over 20 years. I found a place that has (what looks like) a couple of chassis that closely fit the bill to what I'm looking at. A handy purchase was a mig from Brett a while ago. There will be brackets to add and other stuff to remove. Removing several inches from the wheelbase will be interesting. Whilst a cut and shut is an option, relocating the rear suspension mounts might be easier. But that's a job for next year.
