The one above does look good though. (shit that'd be right I scored the new page - the one 253ToranaSS posted before this one).
QLD Heat + collar is a bit
However I understand that not everyone is in QLD, I'd still wear it regardless.

i love that simple look 253 just put up. and on the back maybe go with what tiny suggested with a motto or phrase. would look great. i like the collar shirts think they look alot better than a t-shirt

Matt, your last example is very good. I also like the idea of having the address written up sideways. I have it on the back (just behind the seam at the side) on one of my Quicksilver shirts and it looks awesome, It'd look better if it said GMH-Torana.com though!

I think having the text up the side, while it would look good to break up the bland plain black, the back of the shirt won't be, so it'll look cluttered.
It was only an idea I threw up quickly without taking into account the back logos.

Just the sleeves and the way 253 has it is perfect I think.
Holden might not like using their logo however?

Awesome work guys...

Matt: I think that design is excellent! I live how neat and simple it is! BUt yes.. To the best of my knowledge, Holden will NOT allow us to use that logo on anything that we sell.

SO.. having said that.... thats why i suggested a motto or saying! This could become our "logo" especially if it were in a particular colour and style.

Nothing is springing to mind at the moment appart from that as an idea...
What do you all think?

This motto/logo would also probably become the sticker too.. as its something to become known by!

Cheers.

We must have posted about the same time 253!

I'd prefer to keep the cost of a shirt down around the $25 mark, and having the embroidery up the side would look funky, but probably not as "professional" or classy...

If we kept it to the breast and sleeve i would wear it out to events ( neat casual!)

When we start getting into backs etc it becomes a more casual shirt.... both of which are cool, but what are we aiming for!?

As long as its BIG and BLACK.. i'll wear it :)

i agree with ya tiny! haha it think we did post at the same time. lol

Yeah im with you as well on the address on the back as well, its getting a lil over crowded with the same thing repeated over and over again.

maybe a motto on the are would be sweet, like some of people's sigs have pretty classy little mottos,

such as only milk and juice come in 2 litres, but maybe something short, whitty and classy

Never late in a 308, even better would be a torana one! but right now i cant think of one.

i think ur onto something tiny though!

People do like to read wats on shirts, even if its just one bit of writing on the breast, they want to know wat it says. i bet u once these shirts are and and u are wearing them, people will ask about it!

I really like the "To Fly" idea...

Maybe we could do something like......

"Torana - To Fly" across the shoulders ( of course in a nice style!... *paging 253ToranaSS*) That way there could be no mistaking it...

Hi all,
I know your still looking at deisgns and all that. But if it helps look at this guy

www.bighit.com.au

He is based in Ipswich near Brissy in QLD. I dont know exactly what area your looking at for people to make the shirts but i know this guy and he has developed his own business and is a good friend of mine. So if you want i could have a talk to him about them i see him once a week or can easily give him a call or go see him another time. All he would need is a template to go by to do the embroidery. So just trying to help you out with this.

This guy made our company work shirts - 2 colour polo's on quick dry material with embroidery logo on it for $33 i think it was a shirt. He had to order the material in and get the shirts made from scratch for us so i am sure with a basic polo or t-shirt it would be cheaper cause of the less hassel with material.

Well i have had my say

Cheers Tim

Gday Tim, Thanks for the tip! Thats great!

We can always give him a call when we get a bit better idea of what were after to see if he can help out. Thanks!

John: LOL mate :) I dont want to be too offensive on our shirts ;)

How does this look as something you could either have on teh Sleve or on your back? ( or both!? )

Hopefully the picture works!

heres some VERY quick little mock ups but i reckon something this simple would be best. also i'd like to see them embroided onto a polo. that way even though they're simple they'd still look classy and like tiny said before they'd be perfect to wear out. i'm not keen on the badges idea...probably becuase i own an S :tease:

sorry guys couldnt figure out how to add a pic into the post. can anyone help me out here?

heheheheheh yeh i know mate, was funny but..

Ill take any design you guys end up with ..

If you guys need pricing a very good mate has his own bizznes and does it, he uses a new $1000000 printer that he hires in a big warhouse and told me its not screen printing its some new fandangled method that actualy fuses the colors to the material and works out cheaper then screen printing and lasts longer(doesnt wear off).

Ill give him a call if you guys want and he will do a special price for me.

John

Lexa: You have to upload the images to some web space.. Photobucket is a good free one! If you cant get it sorted email them to me on musclemachine at optusnet.com.au

ToranaSS: too funny mate ;) If you could keep it up your sleeve for when we decide on the style then that would be great! as a side note. I'd be interested to know more about his machine though as it sounds interesting!
Id say that his machine ( and the screen printing) would be best on a cotton T-Shirt and with that we could use colours and images to create an awesome shirt.

OK.. ive got a question!

What do people want? A polo shirt with embroidery? or a t-shirt with screen printing.

I know i vote for a polo!

Cheers!

a polo shirt suits me, embroidered I guess.

Please remember whoever goes ahead with this we need sizes ranging from small childrens??? through to 5XL at least and not to forget the shirts with bumps in them for the delightful ladies. :)

Cheers
Herne
