Does anyone know how many CC this engine would be, roughly? I've been looking around on the net but havnt found much. I think it would be around 100 or so..

you should rig up a old down draught strommy, or a old carby of a 1.5L from the wreckers

Yeh I've been thinking of using one of the strombergs I got in the shed, but that will probably be a bit big..

Been thinking of getting a motorbike carby off a 250 or 125 or something, and seeing how that goes with the blower..

Mini Bike Turbo

You could also try something like this little electric turbo on any little motor. These have been available on ebay for a while now..

The supercharged go cart!! wish i had one of them on the home made victa lawn mower motor go cart my family had years ago.

My dads mate makes supercharged go-karts and sticks a WRX blower and intercooler on it, bores them out etc etc...

Something like 27hp?

Don't quote me on that...

^^ me and a mate made a go-kart for a year 10 engineering project which had a 2 stroke victa lawn mower engine mounted on its side. It was direct drive with a solid rear axle with no brakes and went alright for what it was!! You could get fishy's going up the drive way which was pretty fun! However due to the rigidness of the whole thing it liked to break the mounting bolts and it hasnt run ever since. If anyone is interested, they are more then welcome to come and take this thing off my hands...

Cheers Leigh

Mate do you have any plans on how you made it?

That electric turbo would be a bit of a waste of time. "Just bolt it on for extra power" yeh right.. What about adding more fuel too. Lots of air plus no fuel = not gonna run properly.

when we made it we were running off some "old as the hills" photocopy for plans. i can dig them out if you are interested. i will also have a look for some photos. this thing was way to short for the averaged sized person though!! :tease: It was still fun to drive though

ok i just went through all the stuff i have kept over the years from school and stuff and didnt find the plans we used which suprised me as i found other ones that are better that we were given after we made ours and i had kept the two documents together.... so im at a loss as to why i would throw the other ones out but nevermind. These other ones i have are "The Edge Products" and is the go-kart called "The Raven". Now im not too sure if they still make these plans but it may be worth doing a google on in and finding out as these plans arent free. but if you want the ones i have you can borrow them or i can photocopy them for you or something! :spoton:
