Yes I agree with you there mate. I just thought your comment was poorly executed. Brewster mate if you think that is a dummy spit... I'm guessing you're not a father. If you are you must have good kids LOL

This also gets back to my previous comment haha

I don't need to read 5 useless posts between all the serious ones. That's just me.

Aw c'mon Heath, i acknowledge it was a slightly dulled down version of your infamous dummy spit, regarding you thinking everyone doesn't value your opinion and how you vividly expressed your inner most personal feelings on the matter. But having been on the surface of the earth, twice as long as you have, I could kinda see that you were splitting hairs on the matter and heading down that dark path yet once again.

5 uselsess posts is better than the majority you've posted !
Right back at ya Heathy boy! :P

This argument wouldn't exist if Brock had of won Bathurst by 6 laps in one.
We would all be driving them.
Blame Holden. In particular Commodore. :spoton:

I am completely up for a serious discussion on why the UC is or isn't superior to the LH/LX...

Doesn't look like anybody else here is.

Dude on ebay is claiming his rare UC Hatch is one of 1600 built. Apparently this hatch was driven in by Brock (he didnt specify Peter) and that the car was used in the UC promo ads.

I know there were over 8000 LX hatches but only 1600 UC's? Seems a bit low.

As found here
53,007 UC's made all up. 1600 hatches does seem low?

^ Oh, so we are back on topic then are we......

I thought exactly the same luv the UC (luv ya username too mate :spoton: ) 1600 hatches seems real low. The price on that particular hatch has been dropping steadily for the past month or two. When I emailed the dude he reckons Brock drove that car as a promo or something for holden. Call me a cynic but I reckon he's dreamin.

I'll have to keep an eye on the dodgy UC bonnet when I'm crossing the finishing line at Willowbank at 110mph but in all honesty, I'll probably be too busy laughing at the Mint julep LX I just smoked. :D

HAHAHAHA!!

Yeah, of course your ole UC will beat heaths car! I could run faster than his car down the qtr at the moment!!!

How annoying is that bloody bonnet wobble in the UC's!! Always double check your bonnet is down! Maddy's bonnet on WILDUC flew up on her when driving...

Oh yeah, thats right, silly me.... Heath has a Mint julep LX.... I was just picking any old common LX colour as an example...... :stirpot:

In all fairness to Heath I have heard of a few UC bonnet horror stories. When I close mine I it give it (and the bonnet) a quick tug to make sure its closed properly. I thought about bonnet pins at one stage but I dont want to encourage any unwanted attention on the street.

Late 80's Rodeo's have a much worse bonnet problem. The bonnet let fly on the old work ute. Bonnet flew up, wrapped itself over the windscreen and roof and the hinges cut slits in the panel under the windscreen. Bloody funny to watch, as it only happened about 50 metres up the road from work.

That UC Hatch made AU $2,357.00

This subject is going around in circles :tease: bit like a LIFESAVER

Some one once told me the UC Hatch looks like a larger Datto 120Y.

I love my SS Hatch but I can appreciate all model Toranas :spoton: especially when they are loved by their owners and not abused.

Regards .............. Barry

Looks like it's staying in the driveway Rob.

Besides, he doesn't have his license yet.

( or does he? )

Are you serious, Rob?

P.S. the bonnet design is a work of art LOL

I always got told, when buying a holden, you buy the middle model out of the 3, as in HG, Hk, HT, or LH, LX, UC. You don't buy the first one, cos it will be riddled with problems. They always fix it on the second one, then they go overboard on the third!

Although, with regards to the other models, there are 4 or 5 in series

I've never heard that before, but I think there is a lot in that. I can think of a lot of examples...

and sometimes they f@#k them by trying to make good better. The LH,X are great examples of a good look car that been hit by the ugly stick. What were they thinking when designing the UC. They would be in the top of ugly holden built cars

They never came from the factory with a turbo. They were an aftermarket kit, maily ordered through Suttons in Sydney.
