So if i was smart and had tyres that were a pretty low profile, i could have my torana really low and still be 100mm with no air in my tyres? hmmmmmmmmmmm........ :fool:

the rule in qld is the lowest part of the vehicle with you in it must be 100mm, but the wheel they check with is 95mm so it gives you a little room for error

I dont have many decent pics with the 'mira springs in the back, some of the ones posted earlier were before I lowered the back too.

I feel mine is as low as you can go and still stay driveable

No shocks. They're held in with cable ties.

^ LOL

Green car is bagged, for a fact. Why bag a Torana? Maybe the rear end for towing or drag racing, but no thanks. Maybe on a full sized Holden

When you aim, just make sure the toilet seat is up!

A good mate of mine is one of the vehicle inspectors at regency park

He's given me all the info ive needed so far

I have here the legal lowered heights for LX-LH

These measurements are from the bump stop rubber to the corresponding contact point

FRONT 31mm
REARS 58mm

Hope this helps
Cheers :spoton:

I'll echo 202LX, and ask what shocks you're running Makka?

I've ordered King springs, approx 1 inch lower than standard for my LX, and I'm still thinking about shocks.

A set of Bilstein's to match the springs will cost me over $700, but then a set of Pedders or Monroe will be half that. I guess what I'm asking, is if anyone here is running Bilstein's and what do they think of them? Are they worth the extra exspence?

Any help muchas gracias. :)

Makka runs LJ torana shocks in the rear of his car... I think he worked out, that he is running about 4 inches lower than standard... 1"-2" drop, you can still use standard Torana Shocks, once you got 3"-4" drop you have to re-evaluate what your doing RE: shocks.

There are also some Toyota shocks (Corolla or something, can't remember?) that fit the rear and are much shorter - 519mm extended length if I recall correctly. I have some Monroe ones around somewhere if someone wants the part number

Also, VB Commodore WAGON shocks will also work as they are shorter as well.

haha, funny that you are talking about using corolla shocks, and all the early model rolla guys are using commodore shocks as a cheap alternative!
