Hi hawk,
i think you got a good buy Posted Image , one owner cars are so hard to find these days,
i would keep the car as it is, spend your money on about car that needs work, by the looks of things its a nice clean car, there is no point putting flares on when you can spend that money on your other cars, i think you should listen the the guys on here and dont flare it but in the end its up to you and our parents,
well i hope you like your car Posted Image

Regards Jesse,

if ya have any spare money left over you could buy an lx hatch shell or lx sedan shell and transfer ya stuff from ya hatch the torana wrecker in bayswater has a hatch at the moment that way if your dying to have flares u can make it look good

I would keep that car completely as it is. In fact i would try and source an original 4cyl engine and put it away. Wait 10-20yrs, put the 4 cyl in it and sell it as an original unmolested car. By that time it will possibly be the only one left and worth a small fortune. it is in too good condition to even think about modifying it in anyway.

Good score Posted Image

nice car mate.looks very neat if ther's nothing rong mechanically i'd leav it for your L's and P's and save your pennies for back up and if nothing brakes bonus you have money saved for your project cars or a motor up grade.

It's only a UC mate, why not drive it in the rain?

From the pics the car looks way too clean to cut up for flares... and flares mean you need big wheels and tyres, which means you need money, which it sounds like you don't have heaps of.

I'd leave this one like it is, find a set of nice wheels, tint the taillights, fit a manual and just enjoy it. You're in the perfect situation now to have a nice car to cruise around in for a couple of years while you work on the Hatch or Statesman...

wow $1050 for a hatch is really cheap more than i wanted to spend but still

i agree with everyone elses post flares would cost more than just simply buying flares as you'd need big wheels and big tyres to fill them out
