Andrew, blew a plug.

Jeff, purdy. You have way more flash high tech stuff than i do haha

Suppose you would need all that crap to get a dirty v8 to move :tease:

Those of us without bright yellow engines in blue cars have to make up for it somehow... :tease:

Oh, and it's not that flash...just a fuel pump controller and a fan controller...

Looking good mate, summit must love u, the cost of fittings add up real fast hey, nice setup with the fuel tank too, keeping the original look back there, I cbf upgrading my surge setup again so just went with a cell, took the easy way out, one pump one line

Thanks mate. Im liking yourse to.

Yes the fittings add up quick, but not so bad when you consider brass fittings, fuel line and good quality hose clamps, that shit aint cheap. And all the fittings are reuseable, thats how i justified it anyway LOL.

I havnt finished the tank or rear half of the lines yet, but its coming along.

Cheers.

The big fitting get pricey too...I used a ton of -6 and -8 for the fuel system, then -10 for the oil lines...then -12 for the heater lines..ended up changing my mind how to route them halfway through things...after I had ordered and tried making up a few lines with 180 ones, etc. Ended up using 90s instead. Over all I think I probably have 8 or so "left over" fittings between the -12 ones and a few -6 and '8s as well.

Just have to plan a project in the future to use them I guess, ha ha..

LM-2, was i supposed to keep them seperate??

Yes will be logging rpm with the analogue, Was gonna log some other stuff as well but to much effort.

Re the oil pickup, i couldnt get it under the steering. The bung on the sump is in the wrong spot methinks. It is a touch longer than i wanted but uphill all the way so fingers crossed its ok...

Cheers.

Yep, after beating all the bent type engines with two many cylinders i'll be running home with a group of flannelette shirt wearing mullet sporting pitchfork wielding VVVEEEEAAATTTEEEE drivers chasing me.

Luckily my tow car is also inline six powered so shouldn't be much of an issue.

Cheers.

I've got a set of triple Weber 45dcoe's, an intake and a new/reproduction style linkage setup for a 265...just no Valiant any more to put it all onto Posted Image

But I did the 6 cylinder thing before too..had a six-pack on my old VH Charger..

Then I saw the light and went to all aluminum V8's. :badabing:

:dontknow: be careful dj, the lever on some sbc fuel pumps will bottom out when fitted to a holdon 6, the lever will be laying in the sump in no time if this is the case.

Yep, rockon indeed.

The early Edelbrock performers had the lever made out of a series of bits of flat pinned together, so plenty of meat to grind the back side a bit.

I was actually lucky when installing this pump on my old 173 that the lobe was right around so i found this problem during fitup, otherwise i may have found out the hard way.

Cheers.

Basically its part of my breather setup. After several hours of staring at a block drinking I decided most the crankcase pressure comes up through the oil return holes in the head/lifter area. So at high rpm oil trying to come down and air trying to go up was prolly half the reason my old engine used to like throwing the dipstick out and filling the catch can. So i then decided breathers in the side plates might help.

Cheers.

I know you wernt, i was just half pissed when you asked the question.

Problem with being injured, it removes the "playing with toys" part from my usual deal of "drinking and playing with toys" haha.

Cheers.
