The overall diameter of the tyre/wheel combo is actually LARGER than the globes they replaced... The fronts are slightly smaller.
And for the rear wheels, no they are the same (16 by 7). Just the profile and width of the tyres make them look deeper! I love it!!
No go with the triples for now, i've got bigger plans first!!
Cheers

Here's just a little hint of what it could be, but im not saying until it's been completed. However all the details throughout this 'project' will be saved and a fully detailed and photographed report will be included once complete (just in case any of you guys want to try it out)

Sarsha, Nathan and Sammy already know about what it is, and i would ask that you please do not reveal it until its been done!
Cheers guys
Keith

I cant wait now... Once i've sorted the paperwork and everything that needs to be done for this new donk, it's on.. Should be in about 4 to 5 months before the transition happens...
Cheers

Oh, i forgot to add... i've just put a deposit on a 'grandma white' UC Torana with 173 and auto box... But due to the 'i dont want to' factor, the 179HP is NOT going into this white UC....

Should be good once done. Nice, powerful, more economical than the 179, yet heaps more power, and very very quick while at the same time it will be a clean install with all wiring to be hidden and custom parts made for it too...

And in true "Keithy" fashion, 16" wheels allow the brakes to be upgraded (as we speak this is happening), a custom 120L drop tank with swirl pot is on order (for streamlined fuel delivery to the hungry beast), and the V8 is gonna be one of the cleanest installs you will see.
I'm spending the cash on this one - hidden wiring, custom parts and HUGE power is the name of this game. A game on which i intend on being a front runner at the very least. I've set myself a $12 000 budget (including purchase of donor car, and sale of both the 179 setup, and the donor car's parts). This $12 000 includes the drop tank and brake upgrades as well...
Now i've told you, im going back to my cave....

Cheers guys, thanks for the many many guess attempts, and thanks to barny for guessing (pretty much spot on - minus the stroker crank) it!!
