Not sure if you know or already modiofied, but my first torana was a four door and i got sick and tired of the rear seat belts laying around.

I managed to fit rear retractable seat belts from an xe falcon with little mods.

True! I might have to look into that... Its not too bad because i have my rear passengers trained... Anyone who gets into my car leaves it the way it was when they got in! But if there's not much in it to fit retractables, then i should maybe look into it...

Cheers for that!

I use to hate when people would fling off the seat belts, jump out and slam the door catching the belt between the door and the wheel arch.

Hey guys, the drop tank is finished. I have it in my posession now, and i am madly polishing it like its out of fashion!

Here's the specs: Custom made to suit UC, welded aluminium internal swirl pot (set up for efi), fits in standard position with no worries at all.

Here's the pics...

Hey keithy, I haven't been watching the forums for quite a while so I just sat here and watched the entire "episode" of your buildup. Nice work mate and congradulations. As for your droptank where is your outlet mounted and what size is it? Also do you have any details of the swirl pot? Thats exactly what I wanted to do to my brown davis tank. Wonder if i'll run into engineering problems by getting someone to cut the lid off for repairs?

Ok, who's first ha ha!

MRNOS, yeah, ill be coming down to brissy, then further to melbourne in early october. Driving of course. I'll update you all with dates once the itinerary has been finalised.

253ToranaSS, there's always a purpose for the beer. Whenever im workin on the car, its a tradition to crack a beer when the work starts... Makes the work seem easier, and i dont get as shitty when i cut or graze myself...

Luv the UC, its not a bad little episode now eh! The drop tank was custom made for me at the same cost of a Brown Davis equivalent. This one fits in standard tank location, i dont have to cut up the spare wheel well either... Internal swirl pot deletes the need for a surge tank (will prove this theory)... If i were you i'd get the top taken off, modified and re-welded and pressure tested. If its ok after pressure tested, then its ok...

ToranaZ, yeah its about twice the height of the standard tank. A mate did a quick measurement and it works out to be around 81litres (which i dont believe myself). I rekon its about 95-100litres (well thats what im hoping for)! And yeah - extra dry's rock!!

Cheers
Keith

P.S. I've finished polishing for the night, only got a very small bit done today without the use of power tools...

Lol, ive got a bit on, but im down in Vic for a week, so im sure i'll have time to sink a few with you guys! I have promised to see dick (wouldnt mind seeing this 'superbar'), will have to organise a multi-state photoshoot! I'm keen - although my girlfriend cringes at the thought of driving my car from Melbourne to Wangaratta! Nevertheless, ill have a tinny or two!

And im up for a cruise/meet-up in Brisvegas too, If you organise it for a monday or tuesday (9th or 10th October) ill be in for it. I think i have one of your phone numbers, if not ill get em... And ill bring a carton (isnt Sarsha's birthday around then??)! The big 21 eh sarsha!!

I'll search for the TED Platinum in my local bottle-o and tell you what i rekon... I've had a few more Extra Dry's today - i had to mow the lawn... lol

Cheers, and yes ill come see as many of you as i can while on my east coast of australia holiday!!

Gee I dunno... I wish you guys would turn it down a notch.... I'm getting a bit worried that some people might be thinking weird things about us.... Keith wants to see some dick, makka wants to give some superbar a workout... wish I'd never said anything now!!!LOL

All and sundrie are welcome!
There's a big park across the road from me that would be perfect for a multi Torry photoshoot.
Hey Keithy, I'll even search for some of these TED too!

Cheers (hic)
