On Thursday a late afternoon drop in to get a weekend pass before the crowd, I was rewarded with the sounds of crazy motors heard well from the free park I use. I strolled in and the stinging in the eyes almost produced tears. I swear it was only the unburnt methanol and tyre smoke. OK, maybe a bit of excited happiness as well.
Lots of the usual suspects are here together with plenty of new stuff. I have seen a couple of glimpses of forum cars - feel free to PM or ring Grant (LS2 LXHATCH) and ask him about his burnout experience today....
Lots of torries, lots of other Holdens. Utes and tonners are thick on the ground. Lots of bizarro rarities and one off pieces of madness.

10 downloadsSaw some of the dyno stuff, good opportunity to get out of the sun for a while. As usual it was a good reminder of how little horsepower some very quick and horny sounding cars have. One of the torries that did the recent street machine power tour went on the rollers. Has run a 9.8 quarter. 487hp at the tyres. Mind you, that would have won the first dyno comp at the Nats in the olden days.
Also great to get up close to lots of cars and see how many have little battle scars here and there. Makes me worry less about the imperfections I see in mine.
Given the number of blowers hanging out as well as those hidden under bonnets the economy is doing just fine.
