I wonder how many hours of practice went into getting that thing to enter the burnout pad like that, probably plenty but thr boy can drive.

After that I liken it to an extreme bushfire only you cant see the flames :)

Is that Gerry's car? I nearly bought that car a few years ago, test drove and everything and left it for $500.

Whats the go with the wheels Gerry, no wonder you've found a friend :D

Knowing Grant was turning up in a neat flareless hatch with FR Simmons, I had to keep up with the Jones' and match him.  So went and bought a set of FR's for my beast. Actually the two cars looked good together.

So I finally met up with Grant and Rexy who both managed to find me. I have to say the pair were both great down to earth blokes and really good for a chat! Thanks lads for making the effort!  This is the part of these sorts of shows I enjoy the most.  I tried to find Darren again (Twofly) but couldn't locate him near his car. Hopefully lads we will meet again this year at Toranafest?  Also my old trusy mate Harve (HRV074) found me and we caught up for a chat as usual. But 2tough wasn't at the event this year as he was still sprucing her up. Maybe next year Harve!

Being my 3rd day straight out there, I have to say that turning up tomorrow may not be on the cards as I am stuffed, sun burnt, and trying to keep the peace with the bride!  Will see how I feel in the morning.

It was great to see the Opaline Blue club car make the Top 20 today. He may even throw his hat in for Grand Champion.  As for Steve's lovely black SS hatch, he came out with his 2nd Summernats top 60 trophy taking out runner up in best Tudor. And all of those that saw my good old mate CB's Valencia 4 door A9x replica, they would also appreciate how good a car this fellow builds.  Makes the rest of us very envious. Well done CB!

That is all from me for now. Oh, by the way, I got interviewed by the Canberra Times today too so will be interesting to see if an article arises in tomorrow's local rag!

Cheers, Gerry

And I thought my mate was brave doing 3 doughnuts in the starting lane in his CM Val before entering the burnout pad :-).  That car is a whale and he did it easily!

And I forgot to say Rexy, you definitely have me covered in the Chopper Handle Bar Moe stakes LOL...

Carolyn Tzortzas? Blue Hatch? The thing is a little monster.
I wouldnt mind seeing some pics of a HZ Premier wagon -DAD454. My old mans old car. Apparently sold to a bloke who likes burnouts. Just hope its not being destroyed.

It's for sale. It did say how much for though

There was KINGSLR?  On the first page of this thread in the Elite hall.  Maybe the one you mean?

Thanks for that. Last i heard was $37k. But rich when dad sold it 100% engineered and legal for under 20k. Was then for sale, less motor and box for $6000 and this guy bought it.Attached File  IMG_49329523980190.jpeg   58.22K   5 downloads

Probably just the start of things to come. But I guess it shouldn't be just an award for a V8.

If the bloke built it at home I'm cool with that.
