Hey pipjones, refer to page one, there's a map of where we're meeting.

I may have the Hatch for this special day.

See you all there before 12:00.
I'll try to be there about 11:15-11:30.
I'll have some black ribbon for those who wish to put some on their aerials.

Cheers.

Ill aim to get there about 11.15ish as well

I just read on the CAMS website the gates open at 11am!!

Dont leave it too late to arrive. I reckon the demand may see a huge traffic jam. Why not beat the waiting by getting there early and looking at all of the cool cars.

Meet up at 11.00am sharp sounds good I reckon. That's when gates open, and that's 3 hours early....

For anyone out Ferntree Gully area, Deb and I will be at the Tim Neville Arboretum carpark (Frances Cres, just off Dorset Rd, Ferntree Gully), at 10:15am, and leaving there at 10:30am sharp, which will get us out there by 11am to meet up with the official GMH-Torana forum group. I have mentioned this meet-up to Eastside Cruisers, but no idea if many will be coming along from there or not... but either way I will be there should anyone choose to join the convoy.

We will try to find this service lane that you mentioned knoath, and will meet you there, hopefully 11.00am on the dot... We can hang around there for a while if it doesn't look like huge crowds that early, but if it does start getting busy already that early, then we best leave there and get our butts to Sandown.

Catch you all on Friday.

73lj202 - sounds good. The aim is to hit Burwood Hwy, veer off down Ferntree Gully Rd, left onto Stud Rd, right onto Wellington Rd..... so maybe you could be parked somewhere and join the convoy easily!

73LJ - The cruise is always the best part mate!

chevy - the actual service begins at 2pm.

Shevster - I think it will just be a matter of leaving the cars in the carpark dude... I can't see them letting cars into the grounds as such... but who knows.... we should call Sandown and find out....?

either way i think there will be a shitload of amazing cars there! who knows, we might get let in because we appear to be in a club, or we may just have to park in the carpark... There will be police there so i doubt cars will be stolen etc

Ill be heading down via Wellington Rd i think, cant remember the best way to get to sandown in my car, will have to work it out tomorrrow haha. or just put mums Sat Nav in the torana for the day! haha

jpxu1, I'll be heading in from Craigieburn.
Leaving about 9:30 (gotta drop knoath jnrs off at Nan's in Heidelberg), then probably head off down Bell St and onto Eastern, to Springvale Rd down to Sandown.
Welcome to meet up somewhere....where are you located?

the HSV/ HDT boys are lucky... they get to participate... from their site, what an honour

1. Maximum of 60 70 vehicles.
2. Vehicles to arrive at 10 am and enter the venue via the Overpass on Princes Hwy and proceed to the first entrance gate being Gate 5E (pit/paddock area) and proceed onto pit lane and await instructions.
3. No passes are necessary.
4. The display will be static in front of the grandstand and officials will be onsite to locate your display.
5. All vehicles on display will be invited to complete a slow lap at the end of proceedings forming up behind either the Austin A30 or another vehicle of the Brocks familys choice. It is anticipated that this will be between 3pm and 3.30pm.
6. At the completion of the lap all cars are to stop in a normal 2 x 2 grid configuration in front of the grandstand. The A30 carrying Peters ashes will proceed on and leave the track at turn 1.
7. No burnouts or high speed laps are allowed under any circumstances. Nor is there to be any overtaking.
8. Owners may stand beside their vehicles on the front straight until 1.50 pm where they will be asked to move into the grandstand for the Tribute which starts at 2pm. You will be notified over the public address system.
9. Jon Davison as Master of Ceremonies will then invite the drivers to go to their cars toward the end of the Tribute in preparation for the lap of honour.
10. All cars entering the display are to abide by the conditions herein.
11. Approx. 30mins after the completion of the tribute, vehicles may leave the track via turn 1. Please note no further laps of the track will be allowed.

Knoath, what the traffic like heading that way? how long would it take you?
I am just trying to decide what way I will come down, I like the idea of coming down the Hume at the moment, If I leave at 7.30 I should be at your place by 9.30 I would think

I'm allowing a good hour, so at that time of the morning I'd say I'll need it.
I don't think I'll have any trouble getting there by 11. (famous last words 'eh?)

You're welcome to follow, in fact that'd be cool if we meet up with jpxu1!

Cheers.
