Rory what was the end result with Mr Nos's issue with the diff being too wide, I seem to remeber options were wider flares, changing brakes from commodore to skyline or a diff swap....

Cut the rear guards today...thanks to Ruts tutorial, turned out a treat...fitted the thermo to the radiator and the shroud on...sat it in the front to see what brackets I need to make to hold the VS Commodore V8 recoed radiator in place. New inlet manifold arrived so its off to the builder to do the engine, shouldn't be too much, will check the cam, it appears pretty lumpy, fit anti pump up lifters and chrome moly pushrods.Looking for some roller rockers. Wasnt happy with the rear calipers, they were a bit ordinary so bought a really good set. Diff should be ready to pick up next week so will get that shipped up and fit the rear end and get the braded lines made up so I can bleed the brake system and get it working. Then the handbrake needs fitting and so on it goes!!...........

The fuel cell is actually a beauty with foam, the manifold was sitting on my builders shelf...came from Direct Auto Parts..guess its the same one..Ray went over it and is reasonably impressed with the casting...its a low rise Single Plane which he says I need so we will try it..no dramas to flick it if its not producing. Still have the Brock manifold.

Cleaned all the inside, painted the floor and boot, fitted a new 3/8" fuel line right through as the old one was hard, fitted the new fuel pump, drivers seat back in,set up the kill switch into the cabin and run the big battery wires back out to the engine bay.

OK...We have decided to ditch the dished pistons for some new flat top ACL slugs, deck the heads, run 9.75:1 Compression, fit Crane H224 cam (286/292 duration), anti pump up lifters, chromemoly pushrods and also throw in LT-1 Chev valve springs. Will 3 way cut the valves and heads as well. In goes a new oil pump...just because I have one on the shelf, Hi Energy sump and pick up, Power Bond Race harmonic balancer, twin row adjustable timing gear and new water pump.Should be good for a solid 350HP+.
Diff is also here, it goes in on the weekend then I can get it on the ground.
More pics coming of the engine build.

That makes sense, they do look quite massive. But what's the shaping on the tips of them?
