Then pulled out the Betta kit and started fitting rubbers...What a....Errr.....Mission?? Endless cockups and shit that wasnt right, aaahhhhh

Dont really have any picks of that operation, and to this date the windscreen still isnt in due to countless frOck arounds, but were getting there and the car is basically rubbered up apart from that.

Also fitted the roof lining, carpet, some door tops, etc

Cleaned up my headlight surrounds, Oven cleaner is good for removing the old annodising apparently hehe. Im still not happy with them but they will do for now. Also cleaned up and fitted the grille, again not happy with it and will get a new one but ok for now

Thats kinda it for now, obviously going by the "tonight" picks i've finished plumbing up all my breather lines, finished the engine bay plumbing, i've also finished modding the fuel tank etc etc, getting around to fitting that up, no real picks yet. Been slack for taking picks and for updating this thread it seems.

Also fitted up some brand spankers parts cloner door handles, there pretty good, for the $$$ im happy with them.

The old passenger seat i used to run has been given a frown, i have decided it wont be going back in. I have some fixed back SAAS seats similar vintage to my drivers seat, so will use one of them for the passenger side. Just need to get it retrimed as its a bit faded and make some runners up. Will look much nicer methinks.

So much to do yet.......

Cheers.

Judge, Farcla G3 and G10. Hard foam pad, hard waffle pad, medium waffle pad, and soft waffle pad respectively.

The Betta door rubbers are sex. The rest are either rare spares ones or equal quality to rare spare ones. The rear window which is finally in does sit a touch better than the rares one i used to have ever sat.

If its for a four door and there still using the rares rear inner window felts, these are completely, totally and absolutely incorrect. I have discussed this with Les and he is reviewing them. The outer window rubbers are also exactly the same as the rares ones so incorrect for a four door......

The front quarter window rubbers im also not happy with, the lip that goes around the opening side seems to big, if you open then close the quarter window it grabs the lip and pulls the rubber all funny, you need to use a small screwdriver to carefully get it back out where its supposed to be. The rear quarter window ones (four door again) also left a bit to be desired.

The first front screen rubber was totally long, turns out they changed it about eight months ago, so if you got yourse earlyer than that im afraid i have bad news for you. The second screen rubber i got (new batch) seems better, but is not in yet due to the custom lami screen i got made up being wrong :banghead:

Sounds like a big winge, but at the end of the day your paying over a thousand bucks for something that probably costs them $20 to have made up in wherever the frOck there done, but thats fine as your paying for the R&D in getting a spot on product, sadly though that appears to not be there.

Door rubbers are awesome though lol.

Cheers.

What kind of texture is Farcla? Is it abrasive?

I hope the rubbers are good. I spent $500 in one go when i spoke to the guy from Betta. Told me they'd spent somewhere around 100k in developing them so i am glad you find they fit well.

Its a Polish, so yes, abrasive, all polishes are abrasive.

G3 is a heavy cut G10 is a fine cut.

Cheers.

Yeah the key on the colom only works the steering lock now days....Switch was #@$^%& and i've never bothered fixing it etc etc so this car has always run toggle switches and push button start.

Cheers.

Small update small update small update small update yay yay yay.

I cracked the shits with the car about the time i put up the last update, but as always i gravitated back toward it after ignoring it for a few weeks.

Not much of an update as i've only just got back into it, but something.

Got the fuel tank all painted and sealed etc, fitted it up, used m6 nutserts borrowed from work instead of the tech screws, much nicer i think. Didnt get any picks but i put a new VDO universal fuel sender in there to match the new VDO guage in the dash, pretty easy thing to mod to fit up. Very happy with that.

Made up some flexi lines to run from the tank to the alloy hardlines, with bulkhead fittings and a bracket, came out pretty well.

Also fitted up the tailshaft, was going to get a Strange 3.5" chrome molly jobbie from the states but, alas, working pretty hard to avoid spending cash i dont need to right now so the old one got thrown back in, it should do the job for a while. Just a 3" steel truckline type one. Then i adjusted up the handbrake, tidied the cables up, lots of stuff i dont have picks of hehe.

Also painted the exhaust, and was going to fit that last night but forgot to go buy gaskets, and forgot again today, so i'll look at that at a later date, the car is currently back on the ground, and for a very good reason.

I've had the nice DB63's that are in some other picks sitting in the boxes for four years. And frankly i got the shits with spending half a day on the car, standing back, and not being able to see a difference, so i decided to do something that would let me see a difference hehe.

Got some Toyo Proxes TR-1's fitted up today and put the propper rims on, and dropped her down onto the ground. Yippee!!

Before i get to that though, when i pulled the commy rims off i discovered, much to my annoyance, my nice new brakes have gone rusty, oh well.

Got some snaps because i recall someone asking about them and i didnt have any picks in this thread.
