Oh yeah, forgot to mention, im not 100% happy, I think the front needs a bit more sidewall, should have got 195/60's instead of the 195/55's, but some more lows should fix that.

Need to investigate making some adjustable lower rear control arms (got a few ideas) to drag the diff foward a bit so i can dump the ass, theres heaps of room everywhere bar the back of the guard as per typical LC/LJ, Im not going to lower the front the inch it needs untill i can lower the rear 2".....

Cheers.

meh brakes are overrated anyway :)
you can drive it and the rust disappears...or spend hours with a scourer and thinners....
i know what method i prefer....

Na DB63's Hayden.

Warren, sorry mate, cant afford it, same deal with T/fest.

The cash i would need to get the car to either/both events is being spent actually getting it going, things are a bit tight atm paying stupid mortgage repayments....Six years debt free.....Tis the goal.

Potta, fair bit of thought went i nto them, i agree i hate modern looking rims on old cars, but these are kinda retrotech so not so bad haha.

Evryone esle, cheers :D

Long time no update, and its a shitfull one.

Basically ready to roll, everything safety/driving wise is sorted, ready to fire, run the cam in, roll it onto the car trailer and go to a chassis dyno shop to run the engine in, then the odd cruise before i put it back in the shed and forget about it again.

Sadly the 40 year old wiring that was #@$^%& around with 8 or so years ago by me (very badly) to get to work then added to more recently to get new shiny stuff to work is causing issues.

Mainly the remaining factory stuff, i have a birdsnest of epic proportions and more random wires running around under the dash than a Toyota Prius, and its not working for me.

Everything engine/driving related is fine, Trans brake line lock ignition starter etc is perfect, but alas after making up a nice new tail light wiring harness my park lights have decided to work intermittently and the brake lights dont work at all. Totally unrelated to the new harness, its all under the dash.

I have decided at this point to pull the recently put back in interior back out, pull all the wiring up and start again, front to back.

Dont expect much progress for 12 months or so. Need to remember to loosen those rockers back off so i dont warp the cam.....

Cheers.

Because i still cannot afford t fest. Before then i need a new tow car. And for me it will take that long, my second least favorite thing plus my short attention span.... Hehe

It will likely be running around first.

Big thing was get the lj going before the uc, before i get sidetracked on something else, but i need a new daily and need to sell the cruiser so the uc will be getting attention soon methinks.

Cash is tight as atm, so waiting for some of that to free up then i will build the engine for it.

Yep, when old wiring plays up, it is a head ache to find the fault, so a new wiring loom made from an old one to copy is the go DJ. Dave I

p.s. I have a 2 door harness here, not sure how complete it is as it is from a 2 door I had to sell
