It's missing 2 cylinders.  :D

It's got the right number of slugs.

Sounds cranky enough, has it got a stick behind it :-) or a bleeder :(

As usual, six months not looking at the car.

Someone got onto me about using the car in a photoshoot, i said well its not really done yet but i can trailer it to a venue, drive it around a bit, just take picks from the outside cause the interiors in bits....

No worries, so i power down to the shed to see if it still runs, like a champ

Cause it was on its wheels for the first time since i got the engine going, I gave it a quick drive out of the shed and back in, then decided it would be an ideal top time to do a quick skid to make sure the bit of shit will actually come up.

It did, quiet well.

skid_zps37e177ca.jpg

Not bad for a quick stab, came straight up on the limiter....

Then....Welcome to 2014. Long story short

frack_zpsb6ed4d1a.jpg

Very frOcking expensive paperweight.

TBH im just happy it wasnt something that i did, less of an ego kick this way, even though i payed good money for that frOckup. Musta been sssoooooo so very very close to the jacket and just decided to go pop randomly.

Assessing options atm, few different paths i can take, will ponder it for a bit.

Cheers.

Hahahahaha.

Nice.

Currently tipping cheap $10 bottles of oil into it and cranking the short over to try to minimise water damage to the bottom end, i got quiet a bit of water out of the sump.

Just dumped the second, might go a third, i have heaps of them laying around so i dont really care.

Bottom end will be coming back out shortly for a proper assessment then i will properly consider my options, few ways i can go with this at this point.

Such is life....

Cheers.

Just dropped out the third lot of fresh cheap junk oil, it came out fairly clean, so im relatively content for now.

Engine out....Eventually. Because of the 40,000 projects i have going on i actually need to do some stuff to other cars before i can get the engine out of the LJ....

What, is that twin, turbo starfires, or a twin turbo starfire?

The first one is to close to a Veeate for my liking the second to close to a 180sx for my liking :P

Cheers.

Awesome.

Think the gleaming issue with the first suggestion is that a datsun engine is inherently quiet good and nicely balanced TMK, a starfire is not.

Cheers.
