Hi mate.not sure on thickness of tubs but john would have correct size.just 1 radiused side 360 are a tad over 300 without the sheet steel to fabricate the tub.i radius is 360 to do both sides.in sizes 30",32",and 36".heres a pic of a mustang john has done so it can giveyou an idea how they look..

Thanks Steve,as i see it now,it could b an
omen,Anyway i'll continue on and just try
and do stuff what i can control for now and
so i decided to buy an mig which has rocked
up today.i need now to purchase sills and
lower guard replacement panels both sides
and give it a go.

I want to purchase my own bottle outright
so I got a quote of 479 bills for e size
bottle 105cm tall.i think he said 90 bucks
after the first fill...does this seem about
right.supagas at brighton dont sell there
bottles nor does boc .theres only couple
Places here that do.my brother pays 220
a yr for his.bugger that.

Look forward to seeing your work on the replacement sills, I definitely need to do this aswell.

Gasweld in Sydney list the E size Argon mix at $495 so seems like a reasonable price down that way.

around with the new mig and shes okay.

Had a go welding up the air vent couple days
ago and decided to weld up the heater hole
today on firewall shelf. Looks like a couple
hair dryers for heater demister will do

Tidied up the lip a little bit and a few
holes here there with more to do..well least
theres been some small progress..cheers

Thanks Gene ..its not bad.few areas along
where lip is she needs abit of dolly work
using shrinking hammer.
She's shrunk right on the join.will have
to get one of my bros to help get it
abit straighter, save putting 2-3 mil of bog.
i cant grind right in the corners ,wouldnt know
What i could use ? I thought of buying a
dremmel and use stone wheels but i dont think
They would work.its gotta b something small
to get the weld..

Hey Jon..yeah..im going to try.do everything
possible to get it to pass.the problem is
TAS rta's..anyway 2023 is the date im looking
at to be finished,so i'll go through the
process of what engineer says.

This was the area.i end up going to bunnings
and purchased a macleans dremmel.well thats
what i call it 😆 and it has worked great
so far with a 60 grit little wheel.

A nice ugly hole there what had hard rock
type shit gmh used..has any taken off that
Inner guard to firewall thin sheet steel
Joiner for a smoother look in pic below.
Looking underneath it has like a 3-4 mil gap
and tapers off like 2mm
looks too shitty of a job just to put
very thin strip of sheet steel in there
Did you use sikaflex or something like
devcon to join it.thinking about doing it..
Cheers

Yeah ive been trying to find color very
similar but cant decide on a solid or metalic.

I seen this clip of this purple hq monaro?
doing this huge burn and he was cruising too
It was at powercruise you might of seen it

I like that color and the other you have seen
This one looks a solid color the other metalic.
Ive also got to think it cant b hard to paint
as im just a novice..

Well this is as good as i can get the chinese
part.its abit short on the wheel arch side
They are pretty piss poor but what can ya do
Eh?...if anyone else is doing theres there
is a 6-7 mil lip you have to grind down
so the replacement panel sits flat and level
with lower sill.i recommend to leave 3 mill
of the lip because it will b short on other
side that way you can flatten and use it
which i have found out 😠.what i have to do
now is split the lip on arch side and widen
it so its level
